A new, easy-to-use card replaced food stamp coupons and paper checks for Sacramento County public assistance recipients. It's the Golden State Advantage Card, and it's part of the Electronic Benefit Transfer system or EBT.
With the Golden State Advantage Card and the client's own Personal Identification Number (PIN), they can access their cash benefits* at Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and Point of Sale (POS) devices displaying the QUEST logo. Using the same card, clients will access Food Stamp benefits through participating grocery store and retail POS devices found at check out counters. There is NEVER a charge or fee for clients to access food stamp benefits. Cash withdrawal transaction fees and bank charges vary, so DHA is helping clients learn how to get their benefits at low or no cost.

- To get account balance(s)
- To report lost, stolen, or damaged cards
- To request a new card
- To change a PIN
